THE action at Newmarket last weekend was as hot as the weather, and Marhaba Ghaiyyath looked a little unlucky when chasing home King’s Charter in the mile and a quarter Heritage Handicap on Friday, writes Page Fuller.
He is a versatile colt, having won over both an extended mile and a furlong in March, and a mile at Redcar in June, but the inconsistent pace compromised his ability to use his turn of foot to best effect in the closing stages.
