NAAS Racecourse has secured three popular bands to perform after racing at each of its Summer Season fixtures in the coming weeks.
After Dark, an award-winning covers band, will play at the Wednesday, June 25th meeting. For the first time this card features the Group 3 Al Shira’aa Racing Irish EBF Jannah Rose Stakes, a recognised Irish Oaks trial.
The Saturday, July 5th meeting at Naas features a new listed race for two-year-olds, part of the Irish EBF Pat Smullen Series. The afternoon meeting will be capped off with live music from No Limits, a three-piece from Newbridge who went down well with racegoers at the Punchestown Festival.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, July 23rd, the big race at Naas is the Listed Yeomanstown Stud Irish EBF Stakes, a six-furlong race which attracted two British runners last year and they finished first and second. After racing there will be a live performance from Spring Break, who call themselves an ‘80s supergroup’ and have performed at the Curragh numerous times.
All three of these meetings will have barbecue options for racegoers, and so are ideal for after-work get-togethers or a night out with friends.
Naas manager Aidan McGarry said: “It’s a great opportunity to enjoy an evening or afternoon out with top-class sport, delicious food from our caterers Lily & Wild, and fantastic live music.”
Tickets starting from €15 are available now online.
