SHERRY FitzGerald Country Homes will support the Ladies Derby at the Curragh for the first time this year. It will take place on Saturday, June 28th, the same day as the Group 1 Paddy Power Pretty Polly Stakes. The €30,000 contest over the Irish Derby distance is one of the most prestigious races for professional and amateur female jockeys. Last year Sherry Fitzgerald sponsored a sprint handicap on the card, won by Apricot Ice, owned by Ballygallon Stud, where this year’s sponsorship was launched.
