Goffs are branching out

GOFFS is doing its bit to save the planet by planting 2,500 new trees on a quarter-acre site at its sales grounds in Kill, Co Kildare.

The sales company enlisted the help of The 100 Million Trees Project, a not-for-profit organisation which has already completed similar plantings at some Irish racecourses.

Hayley O’Connor, international clients relations manager for Goffs, is driving the sustainability agenda at the auction house and she acknowledged the help of Forestry Services Ltd and sponsorship from Abbey Capital in bringing the tree planting initiative to fruition.

The increased popularity of online sales and digital sales catalogues have also reduced the bloodstock industry’s carbon footprint. What’s next? Could Henry Beeby’s boundless energy be hooked up to the national grid?
