THE first of five qualifiers for the two side saddle classes at the Gallagher Dublin Horse Show was held on Saturday at the Armagh County Agricultural Show in Gosford Park, where the judges were Lesley Jones (ride) and Patricia Hoey (conformation).
The ladies’ side saddle qualifier was won by Ballynahinch’s Rachel Moore Rooney, who was recently on modelling duty for the DHS, on the five-year-old Irish Sport Horse mare Drumlane Kate (Je t’Aime Flamenco - Drumlane Rose, by Cavaliere), who was bred by her owner, David Sloan, a long-term supporter of the rider.
