FOR over 15 years, business partners Zara Stassin and Jill Dolan have been running the successful riding holiday company, Zara’s Planet, planning the most wonderful riding adventures all over the world for customers looking for memories to last a lifetime.

When the pandemic shutdown international travel in 2020, the duo began to search their own countries (Zara in Ireland and Jill in Scotland) for places to visit and ride. It became very clear that there was no website for riders to find destinations they could take their own horse on holiday, for a training break or stabling to stopover on route to competitions.

Cue their dedication to research and development of how to make this search easier for riders to find suitable locations, along with providing a facility for hosts to showcase their facilities and importantly how to get them to connect.

“Horsenriderbnb” is the result, a website where riders can search for places in Ireland and the UK to stay with their horses. Rider accommodation can be anything from glamping, traditional B&B rooms, tent pitch or even staying in their own horse lorry and for the horses all locations have either stabling or grazing and some have both.

Guests book directly with their host, cutting out commissions with no hidden fess, plus at the time of booking there is direct communication to finalise details like stable bedding, forage, and local hacking routes.

2023 is set to be a busy and exciting time for Horsenriderbnb with plans to increase the number of listings on the website and ensure Horsenriderbnb.com is the top spot to find places to take your horse on holiday. Jill and Zara have recently hired Laura Dolan who has a strong in-customer service and is looking forward to helping hosts add their properties to Horsenriderbnb.

Horsenriderbnb.com has a great selection of destinations to visit already in Ireland where Castle Leslie, Flowerhill Equestrian, Clonshire and Annagharvey have become early adopters. From Wicklow to Ballycastle, there is a variety of accommodation options including cottages, bell tents, glamping huts and B&B’s.

Choose riding the famous Munny Trail in Wicklow, cross-country training galore or fantastic hacking on the north coast. There is an option to suit all horses and riders.
