KEEP the date in your phone and diaries for June 18th, when Lusks Equestrian are hosting their Summer Derby on grass.

Lusks just ran their two-phase event last Sunday with the course open on the north’s bank holiday Monday for schooling or ‘go as you please’.

The cross-country course started and finished in arena two, a change from normal proceedings.

Emily Corbett was busy with four horses in the 1m class which called for flexibility in the starting order from Fran Warden. Little surprise that Emily took first and third places on Sharon and Kruizer, with Ciarrai Rice on Lady J slotting into second place.

The 85cm class was well supported and Ellen McNabb and Blackbird took the top spot in front of Amelia Irwin on Jack and Victoria Mullen on Minnie the Minx.

The 70cm class saw local farrier Rory Livery win the 70cm class.

All welcome to Lusks EC on June 18th!
