THE Megahey family again used the occasion of the one-day event at Glenpatrick to raise funds through fence/arena sponsorship and a bucket collection for the Jonjo Bright Trust, a cause which they also supported yesterday at the Barclay Communications race evening in Down Royal.

Those who attended the event on Saturday were lucky to have the usual caterers on-site as the first unit which set out for Glenpatrick had one side torn off in an incident on the motorway. Thankfully, no one was injured and a replacement unit was despatched to feed owners, riders, grooms and the many volunteers required to run an event. There was a Go-As-You-Please at the Co Antrim venue on Sunday which was a fundraiser for the South Tyrone Hunt.
