IT is a proud weekend for Kilkenny breeder Marion Hughes in Monaco as she will watch two of her home-bred full-brothers line out in the five-star classes with Mikey Pender.

HHS Burnchurch and HHS Fast Forward are both by Hughes’ 2004 Athens Olympic mount Heritage Fortunas out of China Cavalier (Cavalier Royale) who was bred by Thomas Hughes. Both horses go to the Global Champions Tour in Monaco with top form; 11-year-old Burnchurch was fifth in the 1.60m GCT Grand Prix in Stockholm two weeks’ ago, while the nine-year-old gelding Fast Forward was fourth in last Sunday’s 1.55m class at the GCT in Paris.
