NOT the usual sight for those mounted on racehorse trainer Henrietta Knight’s gallops, but this week her riders were treated to seeing the minutes-old foal of her Connemara mare while working her thoroughbred charges.
Posting a sweet picture of the lovely foal, Knight said: “Still love my Connemara ponies and reckon I’ve got the best ones that I’ve ever had - just a handful but really proud of them. This filly foal was born in broad daylight at 8am this morning overlooking the gallops! The riders saw a little black dot on the ground! Strong filly by Eastlands Hollybrae out of my champion Castle Zena. Chuffed with the new arrival - Lockinge Holly.” Best of luck with the new arrival!
