ALMOST breaking the 300-guest mark was the fabulous North Kerry Harriers Hunt Ball last weekend with 290 in attendance.

The sell-out event saw visitors come from Limerick, Clare, Cork and Tipperary hunt clubs for what was a great evening of fun, food and entertainment at The Listowel Arms Hotel.

Bridie Murphy did a great job on photography duty while live entertainment provided by Heart & Soul saw the dancing go on until late.

Special presentations of hunt buttons were made to the North Kerry Harriers’ committee members Mike Curtin, Simon Russell, Tom McCarthy and Shannon OMahony as recognition of service to the progressive club. A presentation of two beautifully made whips by Don O’Donnell of Limerick was also made to their two amateur whippers-in, Éabha Trant (15) and Molly Trant (13), daughters of huntsman David Trant.

There is just two meets left on the card this season - Lixnaw tomorrow (Sunday, March 5th) and Asdee next Sunday (March 12th) which will bring this busy season to a close.
