THE Irish Pony Club staged its first national competition of 2020 last Saturday at the Wexford Hunt kennels in Ballinaboola where 442 rounds of jumping took place over a nine-hour period during the Mackey National Hunter Trials Championships.

“We had a brilliant day on both the weather and competition fronts,” said Richard Kehoe, chairman of the IPC’s eventing committee. “We would like to acknowledge the continued support of our loyal sponsor Mackey, the course designing and building skills of Jacinta Reville and John Roberts and the great effort put into staging the Championships by members and supporters of both the Wexford Pony Club and the Wexford Hunt.
