JOHN Flood, the Irish Pony Club’s enthusiastic, committed and passionate chair of Tetrathlon, may not have anticipated the soaking he got at Killossery Lodge Stud on Saturday morning but knew what he had let himself in for at Stradbally Hall on Sunday afternoon.
John, who is very much a hero to all involved in Minimus and Tetrathlon, had volunteered for an ice-bucket challenge on day two of the Agria-sponsored national Minimus championships with all funds raised (roughly €3,000) going to the IPC’s charity partner for this year, the Irish Cancer Society.
