THIS is another very busy weekend on the Pony Club scene, with the last of the Connolly’s Red Mills/Irish Pony Club eventing qualifiers being hosted by Area 5 at Ballindenisk on Monday, while the Conlans Defender/IPC national tetrathlon championships are taking place today and tomorrow, mainly at Punchestown racecourse.
The action gets underway at 10am this morning with the shooting phase at the track. In the afternoon, starting at 2pm, the swimming phase takes place at K Leisure in Naas, after which it’s back to the racecourse for the running phase in front of the main grandstand. The riding phase over the Kildare Branch’s recently refurbished cross-country track begins tomorrow morning at 10am.
