THOROUGHBRED Tales was launched in November 2019 by a group of professionals in the racing and breeding industry.

This social media project, centred mainly around Twitter, aims to have different guest hosts from all areas of racing and breeding around the world to showcase the high level of care given to thoroughbreds at every stage of their lives, as well as the hard work and dedication that goes on daily behind the scenes in this industry.

Thoroughbred Tales followers have travelled virtually around Ireland, Britain, Dubai, France, USA and Australia through hosts that have included trainers, jockeys and stud farms, saddlers, syndicate managers, photographers, osteopaths, vets and racing managers as well as institutions like the National Horseracing College and the Irish National Stud Management Course.

Now a new partnership has been formed with global equine nutrition company Connolly’s Red Mills. Thoroughbred Tales founder Sally Ann Grassick explained: “We have seen our social media project grow during the past two years to now having over 12,000 Twitter followers. We are very keen to develop the project even further globally and this partnership with Red Mills will help us achieve those goals.”

Eddie Scally and the team at Gowran Park will be hosting Thoroughbred Tales from Monday to show what goes on behind the scenes ahead of the Connolly’s Red Mills raceday next Saturday.
