SHE’S too modest, but Nina Carberry insists that training for her new role in the limelight as one of the rookies in the hit Sunday night TV series Dancing with the Stars which return to screens in January 2022 is the “hardest thing I’ve done in my whole life”.

The winner of the 2011 Irish Grand National on Organisedconfusion, as well as many Cheltenham victories, Nina acknowledges she has fitness and balance on her side from riding out but dancing is all about posture and that’s the tricky bit to pull off. Nina completes the line-up of celebrity ‘victims’ with Grainne Seoige, Neil Delamere, Erica Cody, Billy McGuinness, Aengus Mac Grianna, Missy Keating, Ellen Keane, Cathy Kelly and Nicolas Roche. The brave aspirants will be teamed with professional dancers in a bid to impress the judges and viewers at home with their routines. All will be hoping to progress to the final and get their hands on the coveted Dancing with the Stars glitterball trophy.

Viewers don’t just get the finished product as reporter James Patrice is back for the new season with his access-all-areas backstage pass to bring all the latest news and updates from the training room and the dancefloor onto social media. There is no hiding place.

Nina concluded: “I’m looking forward to being on Dancing with the Stars, Series 5. Although this is something new to me, I’m relishing the challenge. I wish all my fellow contestants good luck!
