THE movie Cocaine Bear was released yesterday [Friday] and has received good reviews.
It will be remembered as the final movie starring the late Ray Liotta and there is a connection for racing fans too as some scenes were shot at Leopardstown Racecourse.
Track boss Tim Husbands explained: “They were here for about two weeks last autumn. They used an area inside the grandstand as a shopping mall. It was around the sports bar and coffee dock area but you won’t recognise it unless you are very eagle-eyed. They transformed the place with just a few boards.”
It’s not the first time Leopardstown has been used for filming. “We’ve been used as a film location for scenes featuring airports, hospitals, and offices. It’s a nice revenue stream to have,” Tim added.
