Following his return to winning ways in a section of the pre-novice on Saturday, he can build on last season’s promise.

The now seven-year-old chesnut gelding finished off his 2013 campaign with wins at pre-novice level at Lisgarvan House and Kilmanahan, followed by a debut one-star victory at Monart (3). His form figures received a bit of a blip here at Tyrella (1) but he put up a faultless performance on Saturday. Bred in Co Westmeath by Sinead Healion out of an unraced flat-bred mare, Annaghmore Ardeo is from the second crop of the Tattymulmona-based OBOS Quality 004 stallion Beach Ball. The sire’s first crop of 2006 includes the recent Ballindenisk CIC** winner HHS Comporta Beach and the abovementioned Oakley.
