NANCY Lyons Teehan, who won the 133cms working hunter pony class at the 2025 Horse of the Year Show on Dartans Séoda Bán, will be tackling higher fences in Birmingham next October having landed the 143cms qualifier at last weekend’s Northern Ireland Festival on Newydd Lady Marmalde.Not only that but Lyons Teehan, a very active member of the North Kilkenny Branch of the Irish Pony Club, and her mother Louise’s Welsh mare, a chesnut 13-year-old by Penbee Starlight Express, won the section’s championship. Standing reserve was Co Wexford’s Jessica Murphy with Liam Ruttle’s Intermediate winner, the Irish Sport Horse gelding Leestone Conbreaker (by Connor 48).
