THE family of the late Patsy Byrne have placed Castleshane Stud in Adare, Co Limerick, on the market.

Well known in horse and greyhound racing circles, Byrne hailed from North Kerry and ran a successful construction company in England. Following his sudden death five years ago, his home in Abbeyfeale, Moynsha House, was placed on the market. Situated on 74 acres, Castleshane Stud also includes a residence and is described by Goffs Country as “a turnkey breeding complex”. It has 21 boxes in an American-style barn, a six-bay horse walker, two-furlong gallop, lunging ring, two all-weather paddocks, and fenced yearling prep track.
