MARTHA Sitwell has been hailed a style icon in the making. Her style – evoking more than a hint of the 1930s – and “let’s do it!” attitude (she once rode across Mongolia side saddle) sets her quite apart.
Harry Hall invited Martha to work with them to create a top-class, British-made collection of hunting clothes and accessories and the collection is utterly distinctive, beautifully tailored and recalls an era when women embraced femininity. The whole collection will wear just as well on the high street as in the hunting field, with definite hints of Dior’s 1940’s new look collection in the cut of the breeches, the skirt of the jacket and the elegant waistlines.
