TATTERSALLS Ireland July Show organising committee today (Tuesday) announced the cancellation of the popular fixture this year.

Held in association with the Rolestown Show and Ward Union Hunt, the Tatts July Show was scheduled for July 24th-25th and it is a fundraiser for the St Francis Hospice in Raheny.

A statement from Tattersalls Ireland said: "Due to the scheduling complications arising for our bloodstock sales from the escalation of the Delta variant of Covid-19 and the overall public health situation at this time, it has been decided that the Show will not take place this year.

"We take our responsibility for public health very seriously as already illustrated by the disruption to the 2021 Sales Calendar thus far, and the decision to run this year’s July Show on its traditional date was taken in good faith with all of the information made available to us at the time but sadly the concerns and complications with regard to Covid-19 have forced the committee to take this difficult decision at this time.

"We will continue to explore ways to aid St. Francis Hospice as much as possible and we look forward to hopefully hosting the Show again in 2022," concluded the Tattersalls Ireland statement.
