THE show jumping community united in grief this week following the sad passing of Ailish Connolly (39) of Copperalley Stud in Moyglare, Maynooth, Co Kildare.

The show jumper peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, February 24th, after an illness.

A talented rider, she was much loved on the circuit and passionate about producing young horses up through the grades.

Beloved daughter of the late John, Ailish is deeply regretted by her loving mother Margaret, sisters Karen, Siobhan and Sandra, brothers Thomas and Johnny, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family and her many friends.

Ailish will be reposing at her home on Sunday from 4-8pm, with removal on Monday at 10.30am to arrive at St Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Kilcloon, for 11am funeral Mass, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Cancer Society.
