Stabling rule in force at RDS

ALL exhibitors at the RDS must please vacate their stable as soon as their class is over, as per the Show rules. There will be some 1,500 horses and ponies going through the busy gates at Ballsbridge so the RDS team needs everyone to be mindful of, and comply with, the stabling rule which is set out in the entry rules.

David Blake’s Claude sold to USA

DAVID Blake has sold his five-star Nations Cup winning horse Claude, owned by Pine Hollow Farm. The 11-year-old gelding has been part of Blake’s string since the end of 2022 and was previously ridden by Slovakia’s Patrik Majher. With Blake, the gelding had multiple top placings and the highest level and they were part of the winning five-star Nations Cup team in Langely, Canada in June. He has been sold to USA’s Elena Haas. Blake commented: “Thank you Claude for all the great days and memories you have brought us. A truly special animal that has been a pleasure to work with.”

Dressage HP committee appointed

HORSE Sport Ireland has appointed the dressage high performance committee and it comprises Simone Hession, (HP Advisory Group chairperson); Marguerite Kavanagh (Dressage Ireland chairperson); Petra Larkin (Dressage Ireland nominee) and Gerald Bloomer (Technical Advisor). The international riders representative will be appointed once the current international riders have selected a representative.
