WOMEN’S Irish Network for Racing (WinR) is inviting all women involved in Irish racing to attend its annual general meeting at 4pm next Friday (May 15th) at Leopardstown. Those interested are asked to book their place online.
The organisation hopes to fill a number of vacant committee positions at the meeting. Expressions of interest should be emailed to womeninracingire@gmail.com by 5pm on Wednesday. Following the meeting members will enjoy complimentary refreshments in a private suite. Racing starts at 5.05pm and WinR is sponsoring a lady riders’ race on the card.

THE on-course bookmakers have stepped up once again to sponsor general admission for all racegoers at Gowran Park on Friday, June 1st. Free tickets must be secured in advance on the gowranpark.ie website. The feature race is the €200,000 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Gowran Classic.
THE 2026 summer pony racing season will resume tomorrow (Sunday) in Carndonagh, Co Donegal, adjacent to the Gaelic grounds. The eight-race card starts at 1.30pm. The MIdlands circuit will return on Sunday, May 17th in Ashbourne, Co Meath.
Irish jockeys Billy Roberts, Paddy Finnegan and Camillus Byrne were among the winners at Hawick in the Scottish Borders last Saturday.
