NI Awards

THE first ever NI Equine Awards took place last Saturday night at the magnificent Titanic Building in Belfast with around 450 guests attending for this glamorous black tie Gala Ball. Randox were the main sponsor of the event.

Saintfield Christmas Charity Ride and Saintfield Horse Show both organised by Joan Cunningham won a very Special Recognition Award for excellent services to the equestrian world and the community of Saintfield.

Joan said: I am absolutely thrilled at receiving this award. Most of the Horse Show and Saintfield Christmas Charity Santa team accompanied me to the Ball and we all thoroughly enjoyed it and had a brilliant night. Neither the Show or the Santa Ride could happen without the entire team behind it. I was deeply saddened that my brother Michael Andrews couldn’t be there as he was a massive part of both events but sadly he passed away at Easter this year.”
