THE revamped Irish Horse Board put their stamp on Dublin Horse Show with an eye-catching stand buzzing with national and international visitors over the opening days of the Show this week.

Situated in a prime location between the international warm-up arena and the Simmonscourt all-weather, few could miss it.

“We have had a wonderful reaction from everyone to our new stand at Simmonscourt and welcomed multiple overseas visitors to it over the first two days of the show,” reported Director General Alison Corbally of the IHB, speaking on Thursday.

The IHB hosted Irish Draught horse breeders, visitors and overseas clients at a reception on Thursday with Minister for State for Land Use and Biodiversity, Senator Pippa Hackett (Greens) among the invited guests.

“On Friday we are delighted to be hosting a delegation from Enterprise Ireland - the Global Equine Innovation Reception - which is a group of 34 people, who will join us for lunch prior to the Aga Khan Nations Cup. They come from USA, Canada, Europe and Australia and the aim is to provide a wonderful networking opportunity for our Irish-based equine businesses to further foster their business abroad.

“Our new sponsor-partners with the IHB - all Irish companies - will also have an opportunity during RDS week to promote their products within the industry. We are delighted to offer an IHB membership discount package during the show and encourage everyone to visit our stand.

“Our sponsor-partner companies are all providing discounts of up to 20% off their products to their customers who are also members of the IHB - these companies include Connolly’s Red Mills, Mervue, CWD, Boomerang and Seale Transport, and a new product/company to Ireland, Biococol Life, which sells coconut bedding and anti-dust bedding. Red Mills has also provided a tonne of feed to be raffled during the week for IHB members who renewed their memberships or took out a new IHB membership during the week. We encourage everyone to come along to the IHB stand and meet our team at the RDS this weekend,” said Corbally.
