OVER 50 invited guests from the racing and literary world filled the auditorium at RACE facility, Kildare, for the launch of Lissa Oliver’s latest racing thriller, Grey Motive.

Dermot Weld officially launched the book, describing it as an exciting thriller.

“A lot of you here might think you know a lot about racing, but after you’ve read this book you’ll realise you knew less than you thought,” Weld said. “The detail is so accurate, down to the horses’ names, and every little detail is exact.”

Grey Motive tells the story of teenager Jack, who is failing at school and the Racing Futures Programme is his final chance. Chris and Terry have a potential champion racehorse that they can’t afford to keep.
