HORSE Sport Ireland, in conjunction with the Department for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, have announced the dates and venues for the 2023 Dressage Autumn Development Series.
This year, the Autumn Development Series will run as a league with four qualifying legs and a final. A minimum of two appearances are required at the qualifiers, with minimum scores of 63% in each appearance, to be eligible to attend the final. Prize money of over €48,000 will be available across the league with prizes for four-, five-, six- and seven/eight-year-old horses, as well as breeders’ prizes. Three legs of the series will feature pony-only classes, for five- and six/seven-year-old ponies.
The series is open to all horses that are either Irish-bred or Irish-born as documented on their passport or registered in a DAFM Approved Studbook, or registered in a WBFSH-member studbook with a specific breed documented within their studbook passport. This can include main section studbook equines or supplementary section studbook equines. Breeders’ prizes will only be paid to breeders residing on the island of Ireland.
The dates and venues are September 10th at Ower Equestrian Centre, October 8th at The Meadows Equestrian Centre (horses only), October 21st at Danescroft Equestrian Centre, October 30th at Ballindenisk (horses only) and November 5th at CoilÓg Equestrian.
