1.10 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden 5f 205yds

This looks a weak maiden and Dame Kiri should win comfortably. Aidan O’Brien’s filly has run to a good standard on all three of her starts so far, not least her most recent fourth in a Group 3 contest at the Curragh. She has an experience and class advantage.

Press Play and Zaza Zut deserve a second chance after running okay on their respective debuts, with slight preference for the latter, Ken Condon’s filly, who finished eighth to Easy at Cork. Johnny Murtagh has two debutants, Mere Accountant and Starnight, with Ben Coen opting to ride the former.

SELECTION: DAME KIRI

Next best: Zaza Zut

Navalny can get off the mark. He ran with credit on his debut when fourth to Bold Discovery at Naas and then stepped forward with a fifth to Spirit Gal in a listed contest at Dundalk. He comes back down to maiden company now and notwithstanding another improved effort which is highly feasible, a similar standard effort should see him off the mark.

Charles Bianconi took a step forward when third to Mount Ruapehu at Cork and he should be on the scene again. Both Polar Bear and Desert Haven have been running well without winning maidens and should be competitive again.

SELECTION: NAVALNY

2.20 Irish EBF Auction Series Race Final 7f

Joseph O’Brien scooped the Ballyhane Stakes at this track and he has a strong hand in his bid to add another series final. Montesilvano sets a good standard here, having finished sixth to his stablemate Voce Del Palio in that aforementioned contest. He was running on well late on over the six furlongs there, and having won his maiden over seven furlongs at Leopardstown, he again showed his prowess over that trip on his latest start when third in a Deauville Group 3. He should go close.

He has four stablemates who all have chances in here but the most interesting is possibly Wujdaan. She has raced just once, way back in May, but she put up a big performance at Roscommon, going clear early in the straight before just getting caught late on by Voce Del Palio. That was a very smart run first time up and though she may have had a little setback since, she remains interesting here off bottom weight.

SELECTION: MONTESILVANO

Next best: Wujdaan

Toy sets the standard on ratings here but she is hard to get a read coming back to this trip and she has fluffed her lines a couple of times this season, so it’s difficult to trust her. Indeed lots of the better-rated fillies here are out of form and have questions to ask.

Mehnah is one of them, given this will be her first run in 459 days but she won on her debut at two and then performed well off long absences for her next two starts, including when just touched off in a 1000 Guineas trial at Leopardstown. She was a winner when last seen in a listed contest and it’s interesting that connections have decided to pursue with her. She is a half sister to Awtaad and is by Frankel, so she is valuable enough already.

A mini upset is very feasible in this wide-open contest so it is well worth looking for a springer. Believeinmiracles catches the eye for Willie McCreery. She progressed nicely to win her maiden at Gowran and then ran well over the same course and distance when fifth in a Group 3. Coming back to a mile might just suit her and she has a nice draw as well.

SELECTION: MEHNAH

3.30 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Bluebell Stakes (Listed) 1m 3f 190yds

Yaxeni has to concede weight all around here but she is a rock-solid operator and can win again. She has elevated her form to a new high this season, with a pair of listed wins, the latest by four lengths at Galway, and in between those two wins, she was just touched off by Rosscarbery in the Munster Oaks.

She might go a little underrated here after her run in the Irish Cesarewtich but she tried to lead that massive field for most of the two-mile journey and did well to box on to finish mid division in a race where nearly everything came from the back.

At the other end of the spectrum, Term Of Endearment makes plenty of appeal. Henry de Bromhead’s filly ran on very well from an unpromsining position in a Group 3 at Gowran Park to finish third to Paris Peacock. That was just her fourth start overall and her first off mid-season break. She has lots of scope to improve again.

SELECTION: YAXENI

Zola Sakura has a rancid draw to deal with but may be worth chancing given how appealing her handicap mark looks. A lightly raced filly, two of her best runs have come over this course and distance off marks of 78 and 84, but she can run off 73 today, and comes into this off a decent effort when fourth at Gowran Park.

Coviglia is better drawn and has been in good form this season, scoring twice and finishing inside the first four in all but one of her seven starts. She should go well despite a rise in the weights. Derry Lad also makes appeal coming here off a number good placed efforts.

SELECTION: ZOLA SAKURA

Next best: Coviglia

4.40 Irish EBF Auction Series Nursery Handicap 5f 205yds

You can make a pretty strong case for Biggerthanbigtime getting off the mark. He was only just touched off by Mile End on his nursery debut at the Curragh, the pair of them coming five and a half lengths clear, and that form was given a boost when the winner went in again on his next start. That makes the 8lbs rise for Padraig Roche’s gelding look more than fair.

Alabama Pearl can give him most to do. She showed a good level in all four of her runs including her latest start at Down Royal when she was beaten by Encosta (form that could look stronger pending how that runner goes earlier on this card).

SELECTION: BIGGERTHANBIGTIME

Next best: Alabama Pearl

5.15 Congratulations To Naas GAA Senior Football County Champions Handicap 5f 205yds

Rough Diamond can win again for Eddie Lynam. The five-year-old gelding has been in good form this season, winning over this course and distance in good style in May and getting his head in front again at Navan earlier this month. He is racing close to a career-high mark now, but his trainer excels with these types of sprinters so there could well be more to come.

Fastar finished third to the selection at Navan and that represented a big step up on what he has previously done this season. He is well handicapped if he can hold that level of form now. Affable is another to consider after a number of good placed efforts this term.

SELECTION: ROUGH DIAMOND

Next best: Fastar
