THE Joe O’Shea-trained Road To Rome, who started the season as a maiden, won his fourth hunter chase in succession when making all to score by 34 lengths at Haydock on Saturday. He is now being quoted at 6/1 for the Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham.

Sam Waley-Cohen came in for the ride on the nine-year-old Choisir gelding who was sent off as the 4/6 favourite in the two-and-three-quarter-mile race. Waley-Cohen also landed Wednesday’s hunter chase at Doncaster on the Paul Nicholls-trained favourite, Wonderful Charm.
