NOEL McParlan’s successful association with Co Meath trainer Tom Gibney continued last Thursday week at Galway where the pair combined to land the Guinness Time bumper with the racecourse debutant Mr Saxobeat.

On the same card, which was dominated by Willie Mullins, Simon Torrens won the Guinness Open Gate Brewery beginners’ chase on the John McConnell-trained Streets Of Doyen, a seven-year-old Doyen gelding who, first time out, won a bumper at Ayr in early May 2019 when ridden by Brian Hughes for owner/trainer, Stuart Crawford.
