AMONG those who brought horses over to Cheltenham during the week for Tattersalls Ireland’s rescheduled January Sale on Thursday was Colin McKeever who was overseeing the sale of Wilson Dennison’s Flemenshill, (for £480,000) winner of the four-year-old maiden at Oldtown earlier this month.

There has always been huge interest in Loughanmore horses and recent graduates who have gone on to Grade 1 success on the track include Yorkhill, Shaneshill and Bellshill. The last-named unfortunately fell at the last in the Leopardstown on Sunday but, the previous afternoon, three former inmates of the Co Antrim nursery, all now with Nigel Twiston-Davies, visited the winner’s enclosure.
