BASED in Larne, Stuart Crawford is ideally situated to make overseas raids on Scotland and the north of England and last weekend he sent seven horses across the water, two of whom, both owned by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, returned as winners.

On Saturday at Perth, where he had four runners including the Brian Hughes-ridden Schmidt who was beaten a head in the two-mile handicap chase, Crawford struck in the concluding handicap hurdle over the same trip with the French-bred Grey Girly.
