THE Mid-Antrim Hunt stages its point-to-point today (Saturday) at a new track outside Broughshane. This track looks to be quite stiff and will provide a much different test from Tomebridge. There seems to be plenty of room for parking and other facilities and we wish the hunt committee well with their new venture.

We would also like to pass on our condolences to the Smyth family following the fatal injury of Tammys Hill in the Irish Grand National. Tammys Hill is what point-to-pointing is all about – a homebred ridden by a family member who ends up winning at Cheltenham.
