1.40 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle 2m 3f

This should prove a good opportunity for Feronily to get off the mark at the second attempt over hurdles, having run respectably when fourth last time in the Grade 2 Premier Novices’ Hurdle at Kelso. The form of his Dublin Racing Festival third behind A Dream To Share and Fact To File looks much stronger now after that pair finished 1-2 at the Cheltenham Festival. Clodders Dream has more experience over hurdles and can give him most to think about.

2.15 Tote Mares Hurdle 2m 50yds

Deeply Superficial has clashed heads with some quality sorts in her career and can take advantage of this drop in class to double her tally over hurdles. On the face of it, better might have been expected when beaten 13 and a half lengths in third in a five-runner mares’ novice hurdle at Sandown last time, but the winner You Wear It Well enhanced the form plenty when winning at the Cheltenham Festival. Copper Nation is a solid enough mare who will benefit from Michael O’Sullivan’s 5lb claim, but Walk With Paul is arguably less exposed and has won here before.

2.50 Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle 2m 50yds

Conditions weren’t testing enough for It’sallabouteve to be at her best last time at Leopardstown but she still ran on well enough from off the pace for fourth behind all-the-way winner Clever Currency. Returning to Limerick, the scene of her two career wins, looks a positive and she can make her presence felt off a mark of 107. Whiskeywealth has been in good form over fences lately and should appreciate the cut in the ground, while Cafe Con Leche is another who looks to be on a winnable mark.

3.25 Way To Paris @ Coolagown Stud Hugh McMahon Memorial Novice Chase (Grade 3) 3m 120yds

Despite being 1lb wrong at the weights with Grandero Bello, Thedevilscoachman is a standout in the feature event and can register his third official success of the season over fences.

He relishes a cut in the ground and will have no stamina concerns over this trip. Grandero Bello has been in fine form and can follow the selection home.

4.00 Follow Limerick Racecourse On Social Media Handicap Chase 2m 3f 120yds

Cases can be made for a few of these but Happy Dreams arrives here in great nick on the back of a win at Fairyhouse and second-placed effort here (when not ideally suited by how the race unfolded). He carries just 10st 3lb, seems to operate fine with a cut in the ground and could have improvement to come as a lightly raced chaser, aged six.

Take All is capable of winning off his mark but arguably isn’t the most reliable, Bonnie Kellie went close last time at Navan and From The Ashes is shortlisted despite a 10lb hike for winning on his last outing at Gowran.

SELECTION: HAPPY DREAMS

Next best: Take All

4.35 Limerick Racecourse Novice Handicap Chase 2m 1f 110yds

Mattie’s Mountain should be able to win a race of this nature off his rating of 120, and the application of cheekpieces and a tongue-tie for the first time could sharpen up his act over fences.

He’s entitled to come forward for his first start after a 110-day break last time and has won around here before on heavy ground. Battle Of Mirbat is a live player but earned a 12lb rise for bolting up at Leopardstown last time so needs to keep improving off this new rating. Queen Jane is light on experience in this sphere but created a decent impression when winning last time and should be bang there again.

SELECTION: MATTIE’S MOUNTAIN

5.10 Kevin McManus Bookmaker Champion (Pro/Am) Bumper (Listed) 2m 50yds

It’s difficult to look beyond The Yellow Clay after his ready debut win at Leopardstown earlier this month. He must concede 4lb to all rivals as the only winner in the line-up but the Yeats gelding looked a potentially high-class sort on his sole appearance.

Harley Dunne has finished second in the last two runnings of this contest with newcomers, so his Getaway debutant Stuntman Steve deserves a second look in the market.
