FOUR years after the race provided Ray Rackett with his first victory as a trainer, the winners’ bumper yielded his first double as the talented Crackerdancer upstaged the odds-on Hardline.

Tipperary-based Hackett produced the Robin Des Champs mare in terrific shape from an absence of over two years to take second in a Gowran Park bumper last month. That made her a very credible threat to Hardline who was conceding a stone to the Patsy O’Brien-owned seven-year-old by as the only previous winner in the field.
