SUNDAY’S feature race is the Lexus Chase and it will be hoped that it can help bring some clarity to the muddied waters of the staying chase division. The Nicky Henderson-trained Bobs Worth is sure to be favoured to win this race for the second year in succession, but he wasn’t at his best in a limited campaign last season and he is perhaps ripe for the taking on what is his seasonal reappearance.

Of his rivals, Jim Culloty’s Gold Cup winner Lord Windermere made an encouraging return to action at Punchestown three weeks ago and must have very strong claims back at this longer trip. The best of the rest is the Noel Meade-trained Road To Riches following his exciting win in the JNWine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal last time.
