Journalists consider leaving Rio as stray bullet incident is investigated

Security has been stepped up at Deodoro, where media have been told there is 'no current threat' as Susan Finnerty reports from Rio

A STRAY bullet which landed in the Media Centre at the Deodoro Olympic Equestrian Centre today has prompted some journalists to consider leaving Rio de Janeiro to go home.

The incident happened around 1 o’clock local time, when what was believed to be a stray bullet tore through the roof of the tented building, ricocheted off an upright wall support and then landed on the ground.
