CONTINUING his remarkable start to his stallion career, Frankel got off the mark with just his second runner in Japan when Soul Stirring claimed a nine-furlong maiden for debutants at Sapporo racecourse.

Unique to Japanese racing, in the early part of the juvenile season colts and fillies compete against each other off level weights. The sole female in the field of eight, Soul Stirring passed the line to win by a neck.
