FOUR more interns graduated from the ITBA Next Generation Internship Scheme this week.

Emma Dillon and Emma Hunter have been accepted on to the Godolphin Flying Start programme, Ciara Russell will continue working with Goffs as a bloodstock executive and Dana Jones is returning to Ballylinch Stud for the foaling season before a season in Australia.

The internship scheme saw the interns undertake placements with Ballylinch Stud, Baroda Stud, the Curragh Racecourse, Goffs, Irish National Stud, ITBA, ITM, Newtown Stud, Rathmore Stud, Rossenarra Stud, Tattersalls Ireland and Weatherbys.

The 2025-’26 internship scheme attracted a strong number of applications and, following interviews, the succesful applicants are Lauren Day, Aaron Doyle, Emma English and Sarah Fitzpatrick.

A spokesperson for the ITBA said: “There was a fantastic standard of applicants for this year’s internship and we thank all who applied. The quality of each and every applicant was very evident and it was really hard to make the final selection. We would like to thank the many candidates from home and overseas who applied and would encourage those still interested to consider applying next year. We wish all of the ITBA Next Generation interns the best during their internships as they get underway.

The ITBA expressed its thanks to the placement hosts which, for the coming season, will include The Curragh, Goffs, Leopardstown, Newtown Stud, Punchestown, Tattersalls Ireland, Weatherbys Ireland and Yeomanstown Stud.
