IRELAND’S Jenny Rankin secured a number of top 10 placings at the four-star Chantilly Classic Show last week, starting on Thursday, July 10 when she rode Big Beauty Z into seventh place in the 82-strong four-star 1.50m class and followed this up with another seventh place from a start list of 79 in the two-star 1.40m jump-off class, this time riding Ibiza.

Friday saw Rankin placing fifth in the four-star 1.50m jump-off class on Quatinka. There were 86 starters in the class, with just 16 jumping clear to proceed to the second round. Rankin was among only five combinations to complete double clear rounds, stopping the clock in 46.89. The win went to a speedy Alessandra Volpi (USA) on Qannando B&V, whose time of 41.10 could not be caught.
