LIMERICK’s Paul O’Shea is quite possibly enjoying one of his best seasons to date and that run continued last weekend when he galloped to victory in the two-star $70,000 Grand Prix at Lexington International, part of the Split Rock Jumping Tour.

Riding Tequestrian Farms 10-year-old gelding Imerald Van’t Voorhof (by Emerald van’T Ruytershof), O’Shea was the fastest of six double clears in the 11-horse jump-off in a time of 36.07 seconds. He made a daring inside turn immediately after the first fence where most riders opted to go the longer route, and it paid off on the leaderboard.
