BRITAIN’s Ben Maher was given a standing ovation as he celebrated a brilliant victory in the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris last Saturday at one of the most spectacular venues on the circuit, in front of the Eiffel Tower.

It was his second LGCT Grand Prix victories of the season, but this time came aboard the 10-year-old Ginger-Blue in an electrifying three-way jump-off which saw Northern Ireland-based Sameh El Dahan (WKD Aimez Moi) finish second and take the ticket to the Super Grand Prix in Prague as Maher had already secured his qualification.
