THE Kildare Foxhounds huntsman, Chris Francis, is in his last season hunting this famous pack. Yes, Chris has decided to move to a new challenge whether it is hunting another pack or an allied activity. He has spent seven seasons whipping-in, and 10 seasons hunting hounds. He is an experienced breeder of hounds and has won numerous classes at hound shows both in Ireland and the UK. From a show jumping background, he got his early experience in hunting and kennel management with the Ballymacads and the Taunton Vale Foxhounds. Peter Cahill, the current huntsman of the Kilkenny Foxhounds, will take on hunting the Kildare Foxhounds next season.
