Gowran Park, February 19th

Kells Priory

(L.G. Lyons)

He backed up a 33/1 success on Thyestes Day with a fine third to Macs Charm in a similar contest last Saturday where he was competing off a seven pounds higher mark.

He can progress further and looks capable of making his mark again before the end of the season.

Gowran, February 19th

Siberian Prince

(N. Meade)

He appeared to step forward on his previous efforts when taking third in a maiden hurdle at Cork early last month and he posted another encouraging display last weekend to finish third to Blue Sari on his chasing debut.

He looks quite capable of making his mark at some point over the coming months.

Navan, February 22nd

Thunderosa

(D.A. McLoughlin)

This gelding struggled to make an impact on his first few runs over fences but the application of a visor for the first time saw him take a significant step forward and finish a two-and-a-half-length third to Call The Tune in a competitive-looking three-mile handicap chase.

He hit a rich vein of form this time last year and could now be one to follow for the remainder of the season.

Navan, February 22nd

Gardener

(J.C. Hurley)

After failing to complete on his racecourse debut last May, this gelding returned to the fray with an excellent effort in the bumper on Tuesday where he was beaten two lengths into third by a couple of smart-looking types.

There was lots of promise in this display and he looks a horse of considerable potential.

Punchestown, February 23rd

Queens Brook

(G. Elliott)

A fine third to Ferny Hollow in the 2020 bumper at Cheltenham, this mare has been sparingly campaigned since then but her last two efforts point to a bold showing wherever she heads next month.

A defeat of Ciel De Neige at Fairyhouse in November reads well and her first start since then saw her finishing a closing second to Burning Victory in a Grade 3 at Punchestown on Wednesday.

There could easily be more to come from her when she turns out at Cheltenham.
