Form Of Praise

(A. McGuinness)

This filly won a six-furlong Hamilton nursery for Richard Fahey last August having previously posted several solid races in defeat.

She showed that she could be placed to further advantage on last week’s Irish debut when she finished a half-length second to the well-backed Daintree on her first outing since September.

Mutadaawel

(N.T. Slevin)

He hasn’t won a race for well over a year and a half and his recent form hadn’t been all that encouraging.

However, this dual Dundalk winner suggested he could be making his way back to form when beaten just over a length into fourth by Everyhouronthehour.

He wouldn’t need to improve much to make his mark in the coming weeks.

Carrigeen Lotus

(R.H. Lalor)

Formerly a Grade 2-placed bumper mare, she has struggled for form since winning on her hurdling debut in October 2020.

However, a second to Rebel Early last weekend was quite an encouraging and suggested that she could be adding to her tally as we move deeper into the winter.

Spades Are Trumps

(G. Cromwell)

On his first start for two months he wasn’t able to land a telling blow in the rated novice chase won by Farceur Du Large, but he wasn’t disgraced in being beaten just under 18 lengths into fifth.

He shaped as though he would improve for the run, and the form of his comfortable Kilbeggan win over Definite Plan a number of months ago points to his ability to win further races over fences.

Spanish Present

(P. Cashman)

He has shaped up nicely on all three of his bumper outings with his latest effort yielding a two-length third to Heliko Conti last Sunday.

He has shown more than enough to suggest that a bumper success is within his reach and there should be improvement forthcoming from his first run since the Galway Festival.
