GEORGE Mullins transport was established in 1988 and is known as one of the largest and most reliable horse transporters in Ireland and the UK.

Horses can be transported both by shared and private loads, with lorries going to Europe two to three times a week as well as more regular trips to the UK.

The most direct route is always taken when transporting horses, and every horse is treated individually. All drivers are experienced horsemen and each of them hold a certificate of competence in equine transport.

At the George Mullins Transport base in Co Carlow, the top class facilities include 18 stables, two loading bays, and a horse walker, as well as offices, all under one roof. Twenty-four hour veterinary care is available if required.

All vehicles have Department of Agriculture approved certs. And all trucks – Scania, Volvo and Renault - are serviced by main dealers. The modern fleet of lorries have CCTV and temperature control as standard and 24-hour satellite vehicle tracking is provided for each load. Each truck is disinfected and hot-washed after every trip.
