ON Monday, October 5th, Equine Behaviourist Dr Helen Spence PhD of Spence Horse Sense will be discussing nipping, biting and kicking: why do they happen and what can we do about it?
Our horses may not be able to speak to us in words, but they do communicate as best as they can how they are feeling. It is up to us to recognise what this means and use that information to help make everyone safer and happier, the horse included. If you would like to learn more, you can join Helen for this in-person class in Hillsborough, Co Down at a cost of £12 per session.
All sessions run from 7.30pm to 9pm. The group will spend around an hour discussing each topic followed by half an hour of questions and discussion. The focus will be on understanding how these problems develop, common causes and the pros and cons of approaches commonly used to address them. Helen will also discuss problem prevention, this is particularly of use to those of you involved with foals and youngstock and training and backing. For tickets scan the QR code.
