TEAGASC is set to host an informative live webinar exploring the exciting opportunities created by the forthcoming Equine Stud Farm Manager Apprenticeship programme and the benefits it could bring to both employers and apprentices. Taking place on Thursday, May 21st at 7pm, the webinar will be hosted by AnneMarie Butler of Teagasc, with ITBA CEO Peter O’Reilly, Marcella Phelan of Teagasc and Kate Solon of Kildalton College. The innovative three-year apprenticeship has been developed through collaboration between Teagasc, HSI, HRI, Irish National Stud and Coolmore Stud. Subject to approval, it will combine practical, hands-on experience with academic learning, leading to a Level 7 Bachelor Degree qualification.The webinar will also examine career pathways, workforce development, industry skills shortages and the supports available for participating employers and apprentices within Ireland’s thriving equine breeding and stud farm sector.
